The Strength of the position - Pre Tribulation Premillenial

Premillennialists fall into two primary categories: historic premillennialism and dispensational premillennialism. In general, Premillennialism is committed to the concept of an earthly reign by Jesus Christ of approximately a thousands years. Premillennialism sees Christ as physically present during this time and believes that Jesus Christ will return presonally and bodily to start the millennium.

The key passage for premillennialism is Revelation 20:4-6. Premillennialists observe that here is evidence of a 1000 year period and 2 resurrections (one at the beginning and the other at the end)From this Rev 20:4-6, the Greek word is used in reference to both resurrections and hence they must be of the same type.

Premillennialists agree that the world situation will be at its very worst just before Christ comes to establish the millennium.

The strength of this position is that there are no blibical passages with which premillennialism cannot cope or which it cannot adequately explain. In other words, there are passages from the Bible to give support on this position. The basis for this position is indeed solid.

May I know what are the Bible passages (that provided you the solid basis and strength of its position) which you referred to in your post? Want to know why this position is solid and able to explain off Mid and Post-Tribulation.

Interested to know what the Bible really had to say about this Pre-Tribulation Premillenial position against Mid and Post-Tribulation position.

Do provide solid explaination of your stand according to biblical passages.

Thank you.

Hi MC,
You sound convinced with this position, I just wonder when Christ come and rule for 1,000 years, where will Christians be? will we be ruling together with Him or caught up in heaven?

Hi Mun Chung,
Thanks for your sharing. I think you missed the part to share on Pre-Tribulation. In pre-millenniumnist, there are different views on Tribulation; namely: pre-, mid-; and post-. As for Amillennium and Post-Millennium; there is no future tribulation period. Can you elaborate on that?

Hi Mun Chung... Perhaps you can share a little more in specific concerning 'historic' and 'dispensational' premillennialism. Would like to know the difference. Thanks...

Dear Bro,
You did not state your stand whether you support the pretribulation premillenial theory. Also you did not emphasise on the pretribulation stand of most Pentecostal denominations and ,also the AOG who believe that Jesus will come prior to the tribulation to catch away the waiting saints at the rapture so as to save us from the tribulation.

Aiyah, brother, Pre-tribulation Millenium or Premillenium, I thought you are supposed to blog about the Pre-tribulation Premillenium, which is which now? I agree with PreMillenium, but I don't agree the Bible supports Pre-Tribulation leh! I think the others also think that you did not explain the Pre-Tribulation Premillenium well. See their comments!

Hi Mr President,
In the midst of your busyness you have got yourself confused with Pre tribulation and premillenial. Please read up from Erickson, he explain it well.

Hi Mun Chung,
Thanks for the explanation on the pre-millennium view. Maybe you may want to make it clear how pre-tribulation come in? The number of resurrections stated by you as 2 is actually subjected to which stand Christian believed in - pre-trib or mid-trib; and post-trib. Maybe it helps to separate the terms used especially for the future tribulation (7 years) and views on millennium (1000 years).

Hi Mun Chung!
Don't worry, I think I'm getting pretty confused too! Haha! But of course, that is not to be used as an excuse to stay ignorant or oblivious of the issues. All the best!
